Mercado was founded and is run by ex-industry executives. Large professional services providers play an important role, but their scale and structure make it hard to offer some of the things our clients value most: small, senior teams, long-term relationships and consistently tight governance on a defined set of critical work.

We generally connect with clients  when something important can’t be allowed to drift, or potentially already has. Could be a major project, critical supplier, a program that’s slowed down, or a contract negotiation that has become messy and unclear.

The majority of our work sits where capital projects, procurement, supply chain and contract management meet. We help senior leaders get control of the people, processes, systems and technology that shape commercial and operational performance.

Most clients come to us with three questions in mind:

• Are we really in control of this?

• Are we getting the value we should?

• Is the governance strong enough if this is ever scrutinised?

We operate as a small, senior team and deliberately limit the number of organisations we work with at any one time. That allows us to stay close to the work, move faster with you, and stay accountable for results.
